Our association was founded with a vision of bringing together Kenyans living and working in France, promoting our rich Kenyan culture, and providing support and guidance to newcomers settling in France. We strive to create a community where all Kenyans in France feel connected, supported and empowered.

Kifua Elections 2024

We are pleased to inform you that the Kenyans in France Umbrella Association (KIFUA) elections will be held online, Friday August 2nd.
We invite all interested candidates to start their campaigns .
We encourage all eligible members to participate in the democratic process and make their voices heard. Best of luck to all candidates!

Key Dates and Deadlines

  1. Nominations Deadline: Monday, July 22, 2024, by midnight
  2. Candidate Listing Announcement: Tuesday, July 23, 2024, by midnight
  3. Voting Days: Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd, August , 2024
  4. Announcement of Results: Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 4:00 PM

Election Process

  1. Nomination Submission

    • Eligibility: Please check conditions below
    • Submission: Nomination form below must be submitted the nomination deadline.

  2. Election Committee Review

    • The Election Committee will review all nominations to confirm eligibility and prepare the final candidate listing.

  3. Campaign Period

    • Approved candidates may begin campaigning once their nomination is confirmed.
    • Campaigning must be respectful, align with KIFUA’s values, and adhere to the association’s campaigning guidelines.

  4. Voting

    • Method: Voting will be conducted online through the Kifua website.
    • Voting Period: Voting will be open on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 1:00 AM to 11:00 PM on Friday, July 19, 2024.

  5. Vote Counting

    • Votes will be counted immediately after the voting period ends. The Election Committee will ensure transparency in the counting process, with the option of having independent observers present.

  6. Result Announcement

    • Election results will be announced on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 8:00 PM.
    • Results will be posted on the association’s website and social media channels.

Post-Election Transition

  • The newly elected team will officially assume their roles on Monday, August 5, 2024.
  • A transition meeting will be organized to facilitate a smooth handover of responsibilities.

What are the requirements to be an office holder?

  1. Must be up to date with 2024 membership (Pay your membership now https://kifumbrella.com/membership)
  2. Must be a Kenyan citizen
  3. Must have legal status in France
  4. Must be 18 years and above
  5. Must be fluent in English and French
  6. Must be a person of sound mind
